Venezuela is located in the north of South America, bordering the Caribbean Sea. Its situation, just above the equator, provides it with a tropical climate: warm and humid. The rainy season runs from mid-April to November. When, especially at night there can be violent, tropical showers. There are also a lot of local variation. Deep in the south, in the Amazon region, it is much wetter than, for example, on the coast, where holidaymakers are treated with loads of sunshine hours. The 'summer' runs from December to April. It is also the dry season and thus the best travel period.
