The climate in Colombia
Colombia is situated just above the equator in the north of South America. The country is hot and humid. In the lower parts it is actually 30 °C the all year round. In the north, on the Caribbean Sea, and in the eastern savannah the dry season is from December to March. In the extreme south it rains less in June and July. The climate in the middle and west of the country is determined by the Andes. Of course, in the high areas it is a lot cooler. Rain falls throughout the year there. Above 4500 metres there is always snow.
