The climate in Papua New Guinea
Papua New Guinea is located in South Asia to the east of Indonesia and covers the eastern half of the island of New Guinea. The climate is tropical: hot and humid. Rain falls throughout the year in the form of short, violent thunderstorms. From December to April is open the heavens the most. The amount of rainfall increases as you go west. On the coast the temperature is very uniform: daytime up to 30 °C all year around. Inland is a little less warm.
