The Fiji Islands lie in the Pacific Ocean east of Australia. The climate is tropical. This includes an all year round temperature of around 30 °C. The rainy season runs from January through to March. This is also the warmest period. At night it is still warmer than in an average European country during daytime. In the warm period it cools down at night to 25 °C, and in the 'cool' period, June to September, to about 20 degrees.
