The climate in Norway
The sea breeze and warm Gulf Stream have a moderating influence, particularly in the south-west of Norway. Here it rains a great deal. The driest period on the coast is in the spring and the beginning of the summer. Here the winters are mild. In the high north it’s a different story, there is a Tundra climate with winter minima of -40 °C. Norway is for the most part covered with medium-high mountains. To the east of the mountains it is a lot drier than on the west side. In the interior there is a continental and high mountain climate. In winter this together with the humid air ensures there is a guarantee of snow for several months.
