The climate in Moldova
Moldova has a moderate continental climate. Summers are not extremely hot, but are, however, long and sunny. From the beginning of May until the end of September it is at least 20 °C during the day. The warmest months are July and August. In the capital Chisinau it is then 25 °C. Moldova is a dry country with an average of 550 mm of precipitation per year. June and July are the wettest months. In winter, the temperature stays around freezing. The country is then covered in a generous layer of snow.
