The climate in Belarus
Belarus has a long winter. There is snow from early December until April, and in many places the ground remains frozen for seven months of the year. January is the coldest month. Then in the capital Minsk the daytime average is minus 5 degrees. North and central Belarus are pretty wet. Most rain falls in June and July. In summer the average temperature is 22 °C. In the east, along the Russian border, it is a few degrees warmer. Summer is the best travel time. After the summer it gets cold all too quickly.
