The climate in Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic, which is part of the Greater Antilles, has a tropical climate. June to October are the hottest months: then the daytime average is 30 °C and more. The cool period can hardly be called cool: from November to May the average is 28 °C. Cooling can be found on the north coast in the form of the north-east trade wind. Brief tropical showers usually fall early in the evening and mainly in the period from May to November. August to October is the hurricane season. In September in particular is a hurricane most likely.
