The climate in Costa Rica
Costa Rica is located in Central America, sandwiched between the Pacific Ocean (west coast) and the Caribbean Sea (East Coast). Due to its location just above the equator, the temperature throughout the year lies between 25 and 30 °C. The west coast has a distinct dry season that runs roughly from December to May. The Caribbean coast has year-round precipitation, September and October are the driest months. The sun shines more in the west than in the east. Besides the beach, the mountain area, that runs from North to South, may also be visited to cool off or for its natural beauty.
