The climate in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is a country with a great deal of extremely dry desert. In summer there is hardly any rain, the rest of the year sees not more than 20 mm per month. It gets hot in the summertime. July is the warmest month, with an average daytime temperature taking the mercury to 35 °C. The difference between day and night is severe: 20 degrees. In the months of December to March the temperature drops to near freezing. Travellers on the Silk Road are best stopping by either at the end of the spring or in early autumn when the air is pleasantly warm (20 to 25 °C).
