The climate in Maldives
The Maldives archipelago is located in the Indian Ocean, just above the equator. During their stay holidaymakers can choose from 75 tropical islands, all with pearl white beaches and crystal-clear sea. It is 30 °C throughout the year. The dry season runs from January to May. The rest of the year, the monsoon wind brings humid weather. The rain is no reason to put off a visit to the islands between May and December since the rain falls in short tropical showers, which freshen up the place. Before and after the rain the sun keeps shining: an average 8 hours per day.
