The climate in Georgia
Georgia is located in the far west of Asia, on the Black Sea. In the north lie the Caucasus. The winters in the mountains are cold and wet. The peaks are always capped with snow. The east has a continental climate, with large temperature fluctuations between summer and winter. It is a dry area, most precipitation falls in the summer. The west has a temperate subtropical climate: warm in the summer, 25-30 °C, and mild in the winter. This is a very wet area. Best time to visit Georgia is in spring (April-June).
