The climate in Cambodia
Cambodia is situated on the Gulf of Thailand, adjacent to Vietnam amongst others. The climate is tropical: the maximum temperature is almost everywhere throughout the year at 30 °C or higher. Frost is an unknown commodity here, although it can get quite cool in the hills at night. The rainy season runs from May to November. Most precipitation falls on the coast and in the mountains in the south-west. The dry period can be divided into a warm and very hot. It is warm, averaging 30 °C during the day, from November to February. It is hot, sometimes 40 °C, from February to May.
