The climate in Nigeria
Nigeria is situated in West Africa, just north of the equator and the Gulf of Guinea. The climate is tropical. The rainy season runs roughly from April to October. The further north you go in Nigeria the drier it gets. The vegetation changes along with the amount of precipitation: tropical rainforest in the south and savannah in the north. The best travel period is in the dry season, from November through to March. You’ll need to be able to handle heat though, with daytime temperatures around 35 °C and even a few degrees warmer in the north.
