The climate in Libya
Libya is one of the largest countries in Africa. It is located in the north of the continent. Approximately 90% of the country consists of the Sahara desert. The climate is therefore hot and dry. Only on the Mediterranean coast is there enough rain for vegetation. In winter it is in the capital Tripoli even pleasantly fresh. Libya is best visited from November to March. The rest of the year in the desert it is around 40 °C and at night it is even very cold.
