The climate in Djibouti
Djibouti, which lies on the Gulf of Aden and looks over the sea to Yemen, has a desert climate. 'Dry and hot' is the easiest way to describe the weather in Djibouti. The warmest period runs from May to September with July and August being the hottest months with a daytime average of 40 °C. It is bone dry. The other months see the odd shower now and again, but never more than 10-30 mm rainfall. December to March is more bearable with 28 °C. The sun always shines in Djibouti. At the coast the pristine beaches are suspiciously quiet, there is no real tourism yet in Djibouti.
